Field Technician

Great companies start with great people.  We are seeking a dependable, customer-focused Field Technician to independently diagnose and repair recreational vehicles at customers’ homes, storage facilities, and campsites throughout Indiana, Indianapolis and surrounding areas. Candidates living outside the Indianapolis area are welcome to apply, provided they can reliably travel to assigned customer locations. Excellent customer relationships, clear communication, ability to work independently, being self-motivated, attention to detail and quality workmanship are central to this role. 

Key Responsibilities

·         Travel to customer locations to inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair RV systems and components.

·         Identify parts and materials needed for repairs and accurately document findings and work performed.

·         Service RV electrical, plumbing, appliance, HVAC, and other systems within the technician’s training and qualifications.

·         Explain repair findings, next steps, and progress clearly and professionally to customers.

·         Maintain a safe, organized work environment and represent the business professionally in the field.

Qualifications

·         Demonstrated diagnostic and repair experience in RV service or a relevant mechanical trade required. We provide training in RV-specific systems and company procedures to help experienced technicians transfer their skills.

·         RVTAA certification (or similar) preferred, but not required.

·         Strong troubleshooting, time management, communication, and customer-service skills.

·         Ability to work independently, learn new skills, and deliver dependable, detail-oriented service.

·         Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Tools, Travel & Compensation

·         Personal basic hand tools required; specialized RV-specific tools may be provided for use as needed.

·         During the initial part-time period, use of a personal vehicle may be required; approved business mileage will be reimbursed.

·         A company service vehicle may become available if the position transitions to full-time.

·         Starting pay is $30 per hour, with higher starting pay available based on experience and qualifications. The position will likely start part-time, with potential to grow into full-time employment by early spring 2027.
